NAPOLEONVILLE — Assumption Parish public schools and the parish courthouse in Napoleonville will be closed Tuesday due to power outages throughout the parish, school officials said.
All government offices in the Napoleonville courthouse and 23rd Judicial District Judge Jessie LeBlanc’s Division D office will be closed, a parish official said in a news release Monday.
Court matters scheduled in Napoleonville Tuesday have been canceled.
Parish government also plans to open a shelter at 6 p.m. Monday at Belle Rose Middle School, 7177 La. 1, Belle Rose for the night.
John Boudreaux, director of the parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, said the parish would make further decisions about the shetler Tuesday after more damage assessments are conducted.
