State troopers are looking for a silver vehicle with a missing driver’s-side mirror that was involved in a nighttime hit-and-run crash on La. 429 in Ascension Parish about a week ago.

Trooper Jared Sandifer, spokesman for State Police Troop A, said Monday that the westbound vehicle, possibly a passenger car, crossed La. 429’s centerline and sideswiped an eastbound 2008 Pontiac G8 east of La. 431 shortly after 8 p.m. Aug. 17.

Sandifer said the driver of the G8, which was gray, was not injured.

The driver of the silver vehicle continued on La. 429, fleeing the scene, Sandifer said.

The crash remains under investigation, and troopers ask that anyone with information call State Police Troop A at (225) 754-8500 or local law enforcement.
