A 16-year-old Prairieville girl missing since Feb. 4, was found in Adams County, Mississippi, by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.

Charity Cook was returned to Louisiana and placed in the Assumption Parish Youth Detention Center in Napoleonville, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Lt. Col. Bobby Webre, with the Sheriff’s Office, said last week that Cook had run away from her home and that no foul play was suspected.
