Gonzales police are looking for two men who robbed a Waffle House customer as he was leaving the La. 30 restaurant, police said.

The robbery happened about 10 p.m. Sept. 9 when a customer who was about to get into his car in the parking lot of the restaurant was approached by two men who put a weapon — believed to be a gun — on the man’s throat and robbed him, according to a Police Department news release.

The two men took the victim’s wallet and several other items, then fled in a car thought to be a 2009 to 2014 Hyundai Sonata or Elantra with a Texas license plate, police said.

Police have photos of the robbers taken by a surveillance camera when the two men used the victim’s credit card at a Gonzales retail outlet.

Anyone with information on the identity of either robber may call Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867 or the Gonzales Police Department at (225) 647-9572.
