Authorities on Wednesday arrested a Prairieville man accused of burglarizing several area businesses, including a donut shop.
Deputies received an anonymous tip Tuesday night on the whereabouts of Eric Glascock, 42, who was a suspect in the break-ins of three businesses in the Gator Plaza shopping center at the intersection of La. 431 and La. 931, said Maj. Kevin Hanna with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
In each of the break-ins, the glass of the front door was shattered and a deposit bag with an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
Glascock also burglarized Mary Lee’s Donut Shop on Greenwell Springs Road shortly before 1 a.m., deputies said.
Glascock, 15305 Floyd Holton Road, was booked into Ascension Parish Jail in Donaldsonville on three counts of simple burglary, three counts of simple criminal damage to property less than $500 and two counts of theft less than $750, according to the Sheriff’s Office report.
