GONZALES — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a handcuffed man in the Gonzales area who fled his arrest, deputies said Monday.
Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said in a news release that the man, Ricardo Rodriguez, who is wanted in Georgia on allegations of sex crimes, ran away from a deputy near Airline Highway and La. 74.
The man, who is Hispanic, was last seen wearing a purple/blue T-shirt and dark-colored sweat pants with tennis shoes, Bacala said.
He is 6 feet tall, weighs 180 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes and was handcuffed with his hands behind his back, Bacala said. Do not approach the man or confront him, but immediately call 911.
