The Sheriff’s Office responded to a call saying that the man, later identified as Daquan Rainey, 20, was lying in a yard in the 100 block of Violet Street.
Waguespack said Rainey had a small stab wound. Further information on the cause of death is expected from the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office on Thursday, the sheriff said.
