GONZALES - The northbound and southbound lanes of La. 44 will be reduced to one lane each way near Black Bayou Road this weekend, state highway officials announced.
The restrictions are necessary for lane re-striping work, according to a news release from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday approximately a half-mile north and south of Black Bayou Road. Vehicles 11 feet wide or narrower can pass through the construction zone. Oversized vehicles must detour via U.S. 61.
