GONZALES — A Polo employee wanted on a count of stealing more than $41,000 in cash and merchandise from a store at Tanger Outlet Mall has turned himself in to city police, officers said Wednesday.
Lyndon Lamar Pack, 25, 1702 Creole St., LaPlace, was booked into Ascension Parish Detention Center near Donaldsonville with one count of felony theft greater than $1,500 where the total amount stolen exceeds $40,000, police said.
Gonzales police Detective Sgt. Steven Nethken said Pack used a variety of fraudulent transactions to steal $41,390.33 from the Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store between Nov. 10 and April 10.
Two other store employees were arrested last month on felony theft counts after a store investigation, and the employees claimed Pack showed them how to commit fraudulent transactions.
Pack turned himself in at about 10 p.m. Monday at the parish jail, Nethken said.
Pack was no longer in jail Wednesday, according to an online sheriff’s database. Bail information was not immediately available.
