Registration is under way for the Ascension Parish Library’s new Prime Time bilingual family reading program, librarian Ben Bell said.
The six-week program, which starts Sept. 13, assists families to help their children improve their reading skills by involving the whole family in making reading fun, Bell said.
Storytelling, reading and discussion for parents and children ages 6-10 are all part of the program.
The free series includes a meal, door prizes and gift books for participants.
Families are required to attend all six Tuesday sessions. Registration is limited and required in order to attend.
Register by calling the Ascension Parish Library in Gonzales at (225) 647-3955 or just drop by the library.
