A man arrested in the burglaries of several Sorrento businesses that occurred on Jan. 10 has also been charged with burglarizing Sorrento Lumber Company on Jan. 2, according the the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Lt. Col. Bobby Webre said Eric Glascock, 42, of 15305 Floyd Holton Road, Prairieville, who was accused of burglarizing several businesses in Gator Plaza on Highway 431, confessed to burglarizing the lumber company.

A sheriff’s deputy responding to a burglar alarm at the story discovered the business’s front glass had been shattered. Surveillance video captured the burglar rummaging through the store.

Glascock was already charged with three counts simple burglary, three counts simple criminal damage to property less than $500, and two counts theft less than $750. He was additionally charged with simple burglary and simple criminal damage to property.

He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond had been set yet and additional charges were anticipated.
