A Baton Rouge man was arrested and another is wanted after an Ascension Parish home was burglarized Wednesday evening, Lt. Col. Bobby Webre, of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, said.

U.S. marshals arrested Myron Turner, 18, at a residence on Riverdale Drive in Baton Rouge on Friday morning and booked him into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He was transferred to Ascension Parish Prison on Friday afternoon, Webre said in a news release.

As of late Friday, authorities were continuing to search for suspected accomplice Delton Selders, also 18.

Ascension Parish sheriff’s detectives began investigating the case after a home on Lauren Drive in Prairieville was found Wednesday evening with its back door kicked in and a TV and cash missing, Webre said in the report.

No one was at home at the time of the break-in, he said, but detectives tracked down surveillance video that captured Turner and Selders leaving the driveway of the house in a gray vehicle, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Turner will be booked on simple burglary, illegal possession of stolen things and criminal damage to property, the release says.

The Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of Selders to call (235) 621-4636 or contact Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
