GONZALES —Deputies arrested a Gonzales man accused of failing to register as a sex offender and sought a Prarieville man for allegedly failing to complete all of his sex offender registration requirements, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Friday.

Charles Feduccia, 49, of 13502 Airline Highway, Lot 14, Gonzales, was arrested Wednesday by Sheriff’s Office detectives after authorities learned he moved from Georgia to Louisiana to find work, but failed to register as a sex offender, sheriff’s Lt. Col. Bobby Webre said in a news release.

Feduccia told detectives he was in Louisiana to earn enough money to buy a vehicle to get to and from work, and he knew he was doing wrong by not registering as a sex offender, Webre said.

Feduccia was told by his probation officer that he would not be granted another travel permit because he had failed to register as a sex offender on multiple previous occasions, Webre said.

After being found at his residence, Feduccia was booked on a felony count of failure to register as a sex offender. As of Friday, he remained in the parish jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

Sheriff’s detectives were seeking another man who failed to complete his sex offender registration requirements.

Kelvin Clark, 40, of 16360 Tillotson Road, Prairieville, is wanted on a felony failure to register bench warrant. Clark began his registration process on Nov. 27 and was given 21 days to complete his requirements, a news release said. As of Friday, Clark hadn’t completed the process.

Anyone with information on Clark’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-4636 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
