GONZALES - The last of four men wanted in a July 3 shooting at a McDonald’s Restaurant in Donaldsonville was arrested Monday after he showed up in court on a separate matter, deputies said.
Larry Earl Miles, 22, 924 Elizabeth St., Donaldsonville, was booked on charges of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, disturbing the peace and aggravated assault, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said.
In a separate statement Monday, Bacala said Miles told arresting officers that he “anticipated being arrested when he showed up in court, but he realized he would eventually be caught and arrested on the outstanding charges.”
Three others have already been arrested in the shootings, in which two people were shot with non-life threatening injuries. Cars and a house were also hit.
Miles has a criminal history dating back to 2007, deputies said in the news release.
Bond had not been set for Miles by Monday afternoon, deputies said.
