A St. Amant woman died in a Baton Rouge hospital Tuesday of injuries she received in a two-vehicle crash in Ascension Parish on Monday, State Police said.

Terri Hill, 56, was headed south on George Rouyea Road about 4 p.m. in a 2007 Chevrolet Cobolt and stopped at the intersection with La. 934.

She then made a right turn onto La. 934 and into the path of an oncoming SUV driven by Lori Robert, 42, of Gonzales, who was headed west on La. 934 in a 2001 GMC Yukon, according to a report from the State Police.

Hill’s car was struck on the driver’s side.

Both women were taken to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center with moderate to severe injuries.

On Tuesday morning, Hill died at the hospital, State Police said.

Both drivers were properly restrained and impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, according to the report.

Toxicology samples were taken from both women for analysis.
