GONZALES — An Ascension Parish man working for a Gonzales paint supply company was entrusted with making runs to the bank, but city police said that three times last month, he deposited most of his employer’s cash into his pocket instead of the company’s account.
Gonzales police officers said Friday they are seeking the public’s help to find LeMichael Munson, 37510 Southwood Village Ave., Prairieville. Officers said in a statement he is wanted on theft counts.
Munson, formerly a temporary employee at Capital Paint and Supply on La. 30, was supposed to make deposits at Red River Bank in Dutchtown on Dec. 3, 7 and 9 worth a combined $1,146.25, police said.
But officers said Munson rewrote the deposit slips after he arrived at the bank and put only a fraction of the amounts he was given into Capital Paint’s account.
Surveillance video captured Munson at the bank on the days he had been directed to make the deposits, police said.
Anyone with information on Munson’s whereabouts should call Gonzales police at (225) 647-9536 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP.
