GONZALES — Police arrested a Napoleonville man Tuesday after he was linked by DNA to an incident in August when a man masturbated in front of a female employee at a yogurt shop, the Gonzales police said Tuesday.
Jack Ryan Vincent, 34, 110 Bertie St., Napoleonville, was booked into the Ascension Parish Prison on one count of obscenity.
On Aug. 18, an employee of the yogurt shop called police and said a man had come into the shop and began a conversation with her. Within a short time, he exposed himself and began to masturbate, according to a news release from the police. After going into the store’s bathroom, he left.
Police said they used evidence found at the shop to match Vincent’s DNA with DNA on a law enforcement database, according to the release.
The victim also identified Vincent from a photographic lineup, police said.
The Police Department said that the 2004 Lincoln Navigator that was driven by Vincent on the day of the incident belonged to Vincent’s fiancée.
