GONZALES — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Prairieville couple and the woman’s son Tuesday after deputies received a tip there was drug activity at their house, Maj. Kevin Hanna said.
After receiving the tip, narcotics detectives searched the home of Steven Porter, 50, and his girlfriend, Lisa Moran, 52, at 15164 Palomino Lane, and found marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, Hanna said in a news release.
Detectives also found four marijuana plants growing in the bedroom closet of Moran’s son, Thomas Moran, 26, who also lived at the home, Hanna said.
Porter and Lisa Moran were booked into Ascension Parish Jail each on counts of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail for each was set at $1,089 and the two were released from jail Wednesday, according to the news release.
Thomas Moran was booked on counts of cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $21,089, and he remained in jail as of Thursday, according to the news release.
