Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in finding a 16-year-old girl who ran away from home Feb. 4.

Lt. Col. Bobby Webre said in a statement Friday that Charity Cook was last seen wearing a turquoise sweatshirt and black pants when she left her home in Prairieville.

She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has brown eyes and short, curly black hair, said Webre, sheriff’s chief of criminal operations.

Webre said investigators do not believe foul play is involved in her disappearance but do not know where she is.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call the Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-4636, text 847411 to the sheriff’s anonymous tip line or call Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP (7867).

To be eligible for a cash reward, those with information must call Crime Stoppers immediately.
