Deputies arrested a Thibodaux man Tuesday and booked him on a count of attempted second-degree murder in the shooting last week of a Napoleonville man who survived a bullet wound to his chest, Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack said.

Floyd Robertson, 19, of 122 Hyland Drive, Thibodaux, was arrested in Lafourche Parish on Tuesday night on a warrant in the Nov. 24 shooting of Quan Lewis, 19, of Napoleonville, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a call from the emergency room of Assumption Community Hospital in Napoleonville where Lewis had been brought after he was shot, according to the news release.

In addition to a count of attempted second-degree murder, Robertson was booked Tuesday on a count of carrying a firearm by a convicted felon.

On Wednesday morning, Robertson was transported from the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux to the Assumption Parish Detention Center in Napoleonville, according to the report from the Sheriff’s Office.

Bail had not been set as of Wednesday afternoon.
