Ascension Parish deputies search for man who failed to register as sex offender after he served time for same offense _lowres

Wade Pardue is wanted by the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to register as a sex offender. April 2015.

Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who failed to register as a sex offender after he was released from prison in February — where he served time for the same offense, said Lt. Col. Bobby Webre, of the Sheriff’s Office.

Wade Pardue, 36, was convicted of failing to register as a sex offender in January and again in May of 2011, and was sentenced to prison, Webre said in a news release.

Pardue was released from prison in February and began the required registration process, giving detectives his address, but has since failed to pay the necessary registration fee and isn’t living at the address he gave to deputies, according to the Sheriff’s Office report.

The law requires convicted sex offenders to register annually.

Pardue was required to register after he was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in August 1999 in Ascension Parish and was placed on probation until April 2004, Webre said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Pardue may call the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-4636, text 847411 or call Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
