Two men were arrested Friday when a search of a Plattenville home by Assumption Parish sheriff’s deputies turned up heroin, synthetic marijuana, methamphetamines and crack cocaine, Sheriff Mike Waguespack said Tuesday.

The Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and detectives with the Narcotics Division searched the home of Oscar Davis, 5771 La. 308 in Plattenville, an unincorporated community in Assumption Parish.

Deputies found a variety of drugs, drug paraphernalia and two guns, Waguespack said in a news release.

Davis, 38, was booked into the Assumption Parish Prison on counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, resisting an officer and two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Bail was set at $186,500 for Davis, who remained in custody late Monday.

The second man, Alex Cedotal, 51, 112 Tut St., Pierre Part, was booked into the Assumption Parish Prison on counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of crack cocaine, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Bail was set at $50,000 for Cedotal, who also remains in custody.
