Sheriff’s deputies arrested two Walker men and a Zachary woman Tuesday after the trio allegedly went for a walk with a man in the woods of southern Assumption Parish, put a gun to his head, choked him and took his wallet.

The victim told deputies a black gun was held to his head and he was choked until he was unconscious in the Bayou L’Ourse area before his wallet was taken, deputies said in a news release.

The man later regained consciousness and found a place to call deputies shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Sheriff’s Capt. B.J. Rock spotted the Nissan sedan the three were riding in on La. 662 in Bayou L’Ourse and pulled them over, deputies said. The man’s wallet and identification were found on the floorboard, deputies said.

Drake Butler, 22, 13156 Travis Road, Walker; Raheem Colar, 21, 30225 Travis St., Walker; and Samantha Kerr, 19, 23125 General Gardner Lane, Zachary, were taken to Assumption Parish Detention Center in Napoleonville, deputies said.

Butler and Colar were booked on single counts of armed robbery, illegal carrying of a firearm in presence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Colar was also booked with a count of second-degree battery.

Kerr was booked on counts of switched license plates, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and armed robbery.

The three remained in jail late Thursday morning, deputies said. Bail was set at $65,300 for Kerr.

Bail had not been set for Colar and Butler.
