Two men were arrested in the July 14 armed robbery of a Gonzales jewelry store, and police are searching for two other adults and a juvenile in the heist.

All are members of a gang called the Truce Mob, the Gonzales Police report says.

Gunmen entered the Roussel’s store at 1486 N. Airline Highway and ordered employees to lie on the floor, the police report says. The men took items from the store’s jewelry display cabinets and safe and took the store’s interior video surveillance equipment.

The employees reportedly overheard one of the gunmen saying he wanted to kill them all.

On Wednesday, Jacquendes Octave, 21, 3812 Dulaney Drive, Harvey, was apprehended by Louisiana State Police, to be booked into Ascension Parish Jail on four counts of armed robbery, four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and one count of felony theft in excess of $25,000, said Charlotte Guedry, the Gonzales Police public information officer.

Casey Johnson, of Marrero, was stopped in Georgia several days after the robbery by a Georgia state trooper who discovered a large quantity of diamond rings in the vehicle that were later identified as those stolen from the Gonzales jewelry store, the report says.

Johnson was extradited to Louisiana and was booked into Ascension Parish Jail on Aug. 4 on counts of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, illegal use of a firearm, and accessory after the fact.

Still being sought are Walter Johnson, 33, of 6320 Riverside Drive, Metairie; Jay Lyons, 22, of 157 Barnes Court, Gretna; and a juvenile from New Orleans with a history of committing armed robberies, the report says.

The vehicle used in the robbery, a red Infinity G35 registered to Lyons, was seized July 22 by investigators in Jefferson Parish, the Gonzales Police report says.
