Organizers of the annual Donaldsonville July 3 fireworks celebration are looking for sponsors and donations to keep the tradition alive.
For 10 years, Donaldsonville groups have joined forces to host a Independence Day celebration on July 3.
The Donaldsonville Downtown Development District and Main Street Donaldsonville were left with a $15,000 budget gap for this year’s celebration after the Donaldsonville City Council couldn’t come up with funds, DDDD Executive Director Missy Jandura said.
Plans call for the event to include music, food and fireworks in Crescent Park.
To donate, call (225) 323-2555.
