BAYOU L’OURSE — An Assumption Parish man admitted to touching a 6-year-old inappropriately and was arrested this week after an informant had warned authorities the girl was being molested by him, parish sheriff’s deputies said Friday.
Tommy E. Lishman, 47, told Assumption deputies he inappropriately touched the girl on more than one occasion at a home in Bayou L’Ourse, Sheriff Leland Falcon said in a news release.
Lishman, 115A Aristile Road, Bayou L’Ourse, was booked into Assumption Parish Detention Center in Napoleonville on a single count of molestation of a juvenile, deputies added.
Investigators interviewed Lishman on Tuesday after they were contacted by the informant, who heard from the girl that Lishman molested her, deputies added.
Lishman remained in jail Friday, awaiting the setting of bail, deputies said.
