A Donaldsonville man recently accused of beating his ex-girlfriend was arrested again Tuesday after sending harassing text messages to her, police said.
Deputies responded to reports of a disturbance and learned Jonathan Butler, 29, was sending harassing messages to his ex-girlfriend, according to police.
She had moved to get away from Butler, but he found her, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office report says. An order to stay away from her was issued Oct. 7, but it had expired by the time of the incident, the report says.
Deputies found Butler and arrested him without incident.
Butler, 1036 Nolan St., was booked into Ascension Parish Jail on a count of stalking and is awaiting bond, the report says.
