Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies are looking for those involved in 48 burglaries of vehicles in the parish since June 1, said Sheriff Jeff Wiley.
The sheriff said residents should lock their vehicles since the majority of those broken into have been left unlocked by the owners. Electronics, purses, wallets, cash, and weapons have been stolen from the vehicles.
A number of surveillance videos from various locations have captured images of those suspected in the burglaries, Wiley said in the news release.
The areas where vehicles have been broken into include: La. 73 and Airline Highway, La. 44 and La. 931, La. 621, Adam Templet Road, Joe Gautreau Road, Harry Savoy Road, Babin Road, La. 74, Stringer Bridge Road, George Lambert Road and Beco Road, Wiley said.
