LABADIEVILLE-Deputies searched Wednesday for a Labadieville man suspected of shooting at a 23-year-old man during an argument over money, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies arrested Matilda Q. Amos, 18, 142 Pond Drive, Morgan City, Tuesday on a complaint she prompted the fugitive, Trayon Boatner, 17, 3023 La. 1, Labadieville, to fire at the victim, deputies said in a news release.
Amos, booked with inciting a felony, was being held Wednesday in the Assumption Parish Detention Center in Napoleonville, deputies said. Bail had not been set yet.
Boatner, who is described by investigators as a black man, 6 feet tall with a slim to medium build and dreadlocks, stood in front of the victim’s car shortly before 3:48 p.m. Tuesday and fired five shots from a revolver at the car, deputies reported.
The victim, from Morgan City, escaped unharmed but Boatner eluded authorities, deputies said.
Anyone with information on Boatner’s whereabouts is asked to call the Assumption Sheriff’s Office at (985) 369-7281.
