BAYOU L’OURSE — An investigation into recent Bayou L’Ourse burglaries led to three arrests, Assumption Parish sheriff’s deputies reported Friday.

Sheriff’s detectives found Randy Lee, 26, 105 Faith St., Bayou L’Ourse, in a residence at 231 Vivian St., Bayou L’Ourse, after receiving a tip, deputies said.

Lee was arrested on warrants citing him for two counts of simple burglary and one count of attempted simple burglary, deputies said.

Inside the Vivian Street home, detectives also found Steven Blanchard, 27, 105 Faith St.; and Marie Franklin, 23, 231 Vivian St., both of Bayou L’Ourse, deputies said.

Blanchard was arrested on outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court on counts of criminal damage to property, disturbing the peace and criminal neglect of family, deputies said.

Franklin was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a non-support count, deputies said.

Detectives also found drug paraphernalia, containers of synthetic marijuana and a loaded 9 mm handgun in the home, deputies said.

All three people were being held at the Assumption Parish Detention Center in Napoleonville early Friday awaiting bail to be set, deputies said.

Detectives expected to make further arrests in connection with the items found in the home, deputies said.
