Work will begin soon on $352,000 in lighting and sidewalk improvements on the east side of Williams Boulevard between Veterans Memorial Boulevard and 32nd Street in Kenner.

The project is funded with state and federal money.

The work, which is expected to take about three months, will include a pedestrian sidewalk and lighting under Interstate 10, according to a news release from Kenner officials.

A second phase to be completed later will improve the east side of Williams between Veterans and West Napoleon Avenue.
