A southbound lane of Dickory Avenue in Harahan will be closed for about three months starting Monday to accommodate work on the federal “Pump to the River” drainage project.

One lane of the roadway between the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall and Mounes Boulevard is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. Monday through 9 p.m. Sept. 12.

The remaining lane will shift to the west to make way for the $9.8 million construction of a new pump station intake canal.

Veterans Contracting Group LLC is performing the work.
