A Jefferson Parish grand jury has indicted three men in connection with a June shooting in Harvey that left two men dead and one wounded.
Jacobie “Cobie” Green, 23, of New Orleans, and Johnell “Shadow” Walker, 21, and Dartanya “Lo” Spottsville, 27, both of Marrero, were each charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Johnell “Ruga” Ovide and Trammell Marshall.
The men were shot about 10:30 p.m. June 21 in the 1600 block of Apache Drive, Harvey. Ovide, 23, died at the scene, while Marshall, 21, died later at the hospital.
Walker, Spottsville and Green also were charged with one count each of attempted second-degree murder in connection with the wounding of Blake Lamb, 23.
Spottsville is further charged with illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.
If convicted as charged, the men face mandatory life in prison.
Green and Walker are being held in the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on $2 million bail, while Spottsville’s bail was set at $2.25 million.
The case was allotted to 24th Judicial District Judge Stephen Grefer’s court.
