Separate utility and sewer projects will require the closure of a lane of West Napoleon Avenue and shut down the intersection of Hodgson and Montgomery avenues in Metairie.

Crews will shut the westbound left lane of West Napoleon Avenue between Haring and Green Acres roads until Friday to repair a leaking sewer line, according to a news release from Jefferson Parish officials. The westbound right lane will remain open during the project.

The project is expected to cost $10,000.

Utility work at the intersection of Hodgson and Montgomery avenues will require the closure of that intersection until Jan. 10, according to a news release. That $1.25 million project is being performed by Subterranean Construction LLC.

Officials asked that motorists avoid the intersection by taking West Metairie Ave. to Airline Park Boulevard or Henry Landry Ave. while the project is underway.
