Parents interested in registering their children in pre-kindergarten classes in the Jefferson Parish Public School System for 2015 and 2016 can attend an informational meeting in Kenner on Feb. 9 or one in Harvey the next day.

The first session will run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bonnabel Magnet Academy High School, 2801 Bruin Drive, according to a news release. The second will be held during the same hours on Feb. 10 at the Jefferson public school system administration building at 501 Manhattan Blvd.

To be able to enroll in public school pre-K classes in Jefferson Parish, children must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 30, 2014. Jefferson Parish offers pre-K classes in three programs, each of which has different priorities and criteria for admission. Children’s tuition costs — if there are any — are determined by the income level of their families.
