Three Jefferson Parish judges have recused themselves from a case involving a School Board member who is seeking a restraining order against one of his colleagues, citing conflicts of interest.
School Board member Michael Delesdernier was scheduled to have a hearing Wednesday on his request for a restraining order against Cedric Floyd.
Delesdernier, a lawyer, accused Floyd of screaming at him and school system officials and poking at him during a closed-door executive session at the Jefferson Parish School Board’s meeting earlier this month.
But District Judges Glenn Ansardi, June Darensburg and Raymond Steib all declined to take up the case Wednesday, citing their personal connections to those involved in the case or business relationships between the school district and their relatives.
It is unclear when a hearing will be held and who will hold it.
