ROME PILGRIMAGE INFORMATION NIGHT: The Clarion Herald Catholic newspaper of the Archdiocese of New Orleans is sponsoring a pilgrimage to Rome in October. The trip will be led by three priests: the Rev. Ronald Calkins, the Rev. Rodney Bourg and Msgr. Frank Giroir. An information night will be held at 7 p.m. on May 20 in Room 2 of the Parish Center at Mary, Queen of Peace, 1501 W. Causeway Approach, Mandeville.

WOMEN’S CONFERENCE: Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church will hold its 2014 Women’s Conference on May 23-24 at the church, 2445 Fourth St., Slidell. In addition, a Women’s Day program is planned for 3 p.m. May 25. The theme for the weekend is “Beauty for Your Ashes,” and the scripture is Isaiah 61:3.

Evangelist Melanie Pichon Smith, of Household of Faith in New Orleans, will be the speaker at 7 p.m. May 23. Lynease Beacher, of Gideon Christian Fellowship in New Orleans, will speak at 9:45 a.m. May 24. Pastor Franciane Love, of City of Love in New Orleans, will speak at 3 p.m. May 25.

VILLAGE CHURCH SUMMER CAMP: The Village Church Lutheran, 29180 U.S. 190, Lacombe, will hold two theater summer camps, June 9-14 and July 7-12, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Camp performances will be held on Saturday nights.

The camp is open to youths ages 7-16 for a cost of $60 per camper ($35 for siblings). The registration fee includes daily snacks and a production T-shirt. Campers must bring a bag lunch each day.
