Max Daigh, manager of school performance for the Louisiana Department of Education, was the guest speaker when Louisiana Connections Academy held a May 30 commencement ceremony for 93 graduates in its third senior class.

Valedictorian was Christian Carroll, of Jena.

Salutatorian was Kristine Slawson, of Baton Rouge.

The graduation, at Baton Rouge’s Independence Park Theater, also celebrated more than $1.3 million in scholarship offers to graduates.
