Two men, who between them face more than 500 child pornography counts, were arrested Thursday by the Slidell Police Department following separate investigations.
Chad OFarrell, 28, of Lacombe, faces 400 counts of possession of child pornography and a single count of distribution of child pornography, according to a news release from the Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell office, which coordinated the multi-agency investigations.
Thomas Fleming, 21, of Slidell, faces 100 counts of possession and a single count of distribution of child pornography, the news release says.
Each individual count carries a potential prison sentence of 20 years.
The two investigations began with cyber-tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and involved the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the Slidell Police Department.
