CATHOLIC CHARITIES HOSTS JOB FAIRS: Spirit of Hope/Workforce Development presents July Job Fairs with Catholic Charities to bring together a variety of companies that are looking for individuals with skills within the following industries: oil and gas; maritime; gaming; construction; medical and health; and hospitality.

Fairs will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Our Lady of Lourdes Annex Building, 2621 Colonial Blvd., Violet; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 23 at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, 28698 La. 23, Port Sulphur; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 30, St. Anthony Parish Hall, 2653 Jean Lafitte Blvd., Lafitte.

Spirit of Hope/Workforce Development began as a collaborative program among Catholic Charities and 15 other nonprofit agencies in areas affected by the 2010 BP oil spill. Spirit of Hope’s work continues through workforce development, community outreach and engagement, education, counseling services and psychiatric services.
