LSU: Two students from St. Tammany Parish are among 24 LSU seniors who received University Medals for graduating with the highest undergraduate grade-point averages as part of LSU commencement exercises Dec. 15. They are Mallory Guillot, of Covington, E.J. Ourso College of Business; and Peter Yager, of Mandeville, College of Science.
UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS: Joseph Matheson Fontana, of Mandeville, is one of more than 1,300 candidates for degrees from the University of Kansas after the fall 2017 semester. His master's degree in geology will be awarded in January.
BRENAU UNIVERSITY: Meghan Mistric, of Mandeville, has earned a spot on the fall 2017 merit list at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. Mistric is a Class of 2021 student majoring in biology. Merit list students must maintain a 3.5 grade-point average while carrying 12 to 14 semester hours of coursework with no grade lower than a B in that semester.
