St. Tammany Clerk of Court candidates Melissa Henry and Matt Faust are headed for a runoff, according to the Secretary of State’s website.
Each earned 39 percent of the vote, but Henry had a lead of about 300 votes overall out of 56.284 cast.
The third candidate in the race, Nelson Rivers, earned 22 percent of the vote.
The three were running to replace Malise Prieto, who elected not to run this year, saying the negative politics in the office had extinguished her fire for politics.
The runoff will be Nov. 21.
