A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Pearl River on Monday night, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene of the crash on Teat Blackwell Road shortly after 9:30 p.m. and discovered a vehicle had gone off the road and struck a tree near 16th Section Road.

Terri Crawford, 36, was taken to a hospital, where she died from injuries sustained in the crash.

She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Sheriff's Office, which also cited speed as a possible factor in the crash.

Toxicology reports are pending from the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office.
