Warren Montgomery continued to hang on to his lead in the race for 22nd Judicial District Attorney, largely on strength of support in St. Tammany Parish where he had 13,956 votes compared to 11,251 for Brian Trainor.

That total reflects 28 of St. Tammany’s 158 precincts reported and early votes.

But Trainor, who had a strong showing in Washington Parish in the primary continued to outpace Montgomery there with 5,646 votes to Montgomery’s 4,358 with 33 of 41 precincts in.
