A 14-year-old Northshore High School student was arrested Thursday after he brought an Airsoft gun and a knife to school to “get back” at friends who toilet-papered his house as part of homecoming week festivities, a Slidell Police spokesman said.
The student, whose name has not been released, allegedly told other students that he was going to bring a gun to school to get revenge on those who had decorated his house with toilet paper according to Sgt. Daniel Seuzeneau. Toilet-papering a friend’s house on “White Wednesday” is a common Northshore High School prank during homecoming week.
Several students had tipped school administrators to the plan and Slidell Police found the boy and searched his school bag, where they found the Airsoft gun and knife.
The Airsoft gun had been modified: its orange safety tip had been painted black to make it look more like a real gun, Seuzeneau said. The boy was charged with interfering with educational process and carrying a firearm or dangerous weapon on school property, Seuzeneau said.
