CHAMBER SOIREE HIGHLIGHTS NEW VENUE: St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce introduced a new fundraising event, Southern Nights, a soiree recently held at the newly renovated Southern Hotel in downtown Covington.
The evening was a celebration of the ongoing work of the Chamber for the local business community, as well as an introduction to the restored local landmark.
Over 200 guests donned seersucker and linen and enjoyed a lovely evening featuring fine dining from 10 area restaurants, including Annadele’s Plantation, Dakota, Gallagher’s Grill, Jubilee, N’Tini’s, Nuvolari’s Ristorante, Jacmel, Pardo’s and The Lake House.
Nonna Randazzo’s provided desserts, and downtown Covington neighbor to the hotel, Buster’s, provided an oyster bar.
The hotel’s restaurant, set to open in August, OxLot9, also provided a delicacy.
Co-chairs of the event were Jennifer Messina of Habitat for Humanity, and Paul Myers of Metairie Bank. Their leadership and hard work contributed to the fundraising success of the event.
