Kiwanis Club of Camellia City
At the recent lunch meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Camellia City, Slidell, at Chesterfields Restaurant, Ed Lewis and Chuck Sabadie spoke to the group about the Ride of the Brotherhood, which has the goal of establishing that “No One Rides Alone.”
This foundation is dedicated to the health and betterment of homeless veterans. “No One Rides Alone” reache out to these veterans and offer temporary housing and assistance and help to find employment and permanent residence. For information, visit www.rideofthebrother hood.org.
Mandeville Northshore Kiwanis
At the 96th annual Louisiana-Mississippi-West Tennessee Kiwanis District Convention held in Jackson, Mississippi, Rick Danielson, Steve Jacobs and David Lindsey, of the Mandeville Northshore Kiwanis, were recognized as 2012-13 District Distinguished Kiwanians in appreciation for their exemplary service to the community.

Rotary Club of Slidell Northshore
Brian Hall, the new governor of Rotary District 6840, was the guest speaker at the July 15 meeting of the Rotary Club of Slidell Northshore. He discussed his goals of increasing membership and contributing to the Rotary Foundation.
Hall is a member of the Rotary Club of Covington. Also attending was Elizabeth Van Sant, assistant district governor.
He challenged Rotarians is to “do something different this year” and stressed the idea of “The Power of One” and “What we do Matters.”
