Lakeview Regional Medical Center donated 75,000 servings of vegetables to Operation BBQ Relief in response to the recent Louisiana floods.

Operation BBQ Relief, based in Missouri, was founded in response to the Joplin, Missouri, tornado of 2011. Since then, the organization has served more than a million meals in 19 states.

In Louisiana, the BBQ Relief crew got help preparing meals from a group of Lakeview Regional managers and directors, including Chief Operations Officer Hiral Patel.

In addition to food, Lakeview Regional donated 1,000 industrial respirator masks to United Way. HCA, the parent of company of Lakeview Regional Medical Center and four other Louisiana hospitals, will be donating up to $100,000 to the American Red Cross for flood relief in Louisiana, with a $50,000 donation from the company and up to $50,000 to match employee contributions.
