Boil-water advisory for parts of Covington lifted _lowres

PHOTO FROM WWL-TV's JADE CUNNINGHAM -- Two young Australian tourists were shot early Tuesday morning after venturing to the West Bank for drugs, New Orleans police said.

The boil-water advisory for parts of Covington has been lifted, the city announced Wednesday.

A break in a water main triggered the advisory Tuesday, but city officials got clearance Wednesday to lift the advisory, the city said.

The affected area included: South Adams, South America, South Louisiana, South Jahncke, South Massachusetts, South Washington, South Water, South New Hampshire and South Vermont streets; East Fifth, East Sixth, East Fourth, East Third, East Second and East First avenues; Phyllis Drive, Ann Street, Old Landing Road, River Bend Drive, Bennett Road, Cypress Drive, Pine Street, Bogue Falaya Drive, Alma Loop, Lucie Lane, Durel Drive, Poplar Street, Riverview Drive and Cypress Cove Place.
