Savannah Smiles, a charity that benefits grieving families by helping pay final expenses for children, will be the beneficiary of an adult spelling bee at 6 p.m. June 19 at Salmen High School, 300 Spartan Drive, Slidell.

Each team will consist of four members, and they will compete in two rounds of speed spelling. The St. Tammany Parish spelling champions will be named. Other awards include Best Judges Bribe, Best Team Costume, Best Spectator Costume and St. Tammany Spelling Not-So-Champions.

Admission for spectators is $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12, and includes food and drinks. Community leaders will serve as judges.
